  • Three-line concept The all new Audi A7 represents a new kind of style icon. Three simple yet profound lines converge to define the distinctive and progressive look of the A7, lending the design a clarity of form and an athletic stance that heralds a new class of sporty elegance in the executive class.

  • Dynamic Line The Dynamic line defines the side of the Audi A7. Originating at the bottom bar of the Singleframe grille and running along the air inlets and side sills to the tail, the Dynamic line gives the A7 a sense of forward thrust to the A7, even at a standstill.

  • Tornado Line The shoulder, or Tornado line, creates tension and is the unique character line of the A7; it is the artistic line that is essential to defining the A7 as an icon. Running the full length of the vehicle body to the tail, it clearly demarcates the shoulder, giving the vehicle an elongated and elegant appearance while also doubling as an edge where light is refracted to produce fascinating shoulder effects which change with the viewing angle.

  • Roof Line The roof line, with its low, sweeping profile, completes the assertive look of the A7 and gives the styling a coherent and deliberate feel. Stretching from the Singleframe® grille up over the bonnet and roof pillar, the movement of this elongated line connects front and rear to form a synthesis of elegance and athleticism.

  • LEDs The unique design of the optional Audi A7 LED headlights bring together aesthetics and functionality perfectly, while also demonstrating the lead Audi holds in this groundbreaking technology. Instantly recognizable, the slender, feral-looking "eyes" of the A7 give the vehicle's face a self-confident expression while using 40% less energy than conventional bulbs.

  • Rear Spoiler The low separating edge and its distinctively horizontal contour lend emphasis to the width and sporty nature of the Audi A7. It runs in a precise line around the entire, muscular-looking tail and allows all of the vehicle’s power and dynamism to clearly stand out. The vehicle appears to have a forward urge even when stationary.

  • As functional in everyday use as it is stylish The A7 is that rare vehicle that neatly combines elegant design with high levels of functionality and day-to-day functionality. Even with the sporty coupe styling in the curve of the roofline, the A7 offers a spacious interior not typical of sport coupes. The driver and passengers benefit from the ample interior dimensions, all four seats offer luxurious comfort and generous levels of shoulder, head and leg room. To illustrate, the A7 boasts roominess on par with the A6 Sedan and A6 Avant.

  • Programmable tailgate: Smart and elegant The Audi A7 proves that elegant and sporty can also be functional, and succeeds in harmoniously integrating a large, practical tailgate into a progressive vehicle design. Featuring electric opening and closing functionality, the driver can close the tailgate using either the button on the inside of the tailgate or the optional convenience key. To prevent the tailgate from hitting the ceiling of low garages and to suit people of different heights, any opening angle under the maximum height of 74.4 inches can be programmed and stored. For further convenience, a rear shelf separates the luggage and passenger compartments.

  • Generous luggage compartment The large, 24.5 cubic feet luggage compartment of the Audi A7 demonstrates its impressive functionality while also offering significantly more storage capacity than both the BMW 5 Series GT and the Mercedes Benz CLS. Like the exterior, the interior of the A7 is characterized by expansive surfaces with an emphasis on the horizontal plane. While the wraparound sky-liner dashboard embraces both driver and front passenger and creates an uncluttered and elegant openness, the cockpit has a deliberately driver-oriented design typical of sporty coupes.

With the A7, Audi is setting remarkable milestones with its innovative offerings in terms of driveability, comfort and safety. But, then again, setting milestones has always been an important part of the Audi legacy.

  • Aerodynamic efficiency results in better fuel economy The Audi 100 was concepted in 1968 as an upper midsize model with ample visual status, and all the forecasts and expectations were easily exceeded. The 1983 Audi 100 was voted the European Car of the Year, based on its remarkable aerodynamic look, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.30 for its smoothest base model. The increased aerodynamic efficiency resulted in better fuel economy and consumers all over the world took notice.

  • Once again, leading through technology The Audi quattro was featured at the Geneva Motor Show in March of 1980, featuring a turbocharged 5-cylinder petrol engine with an ingenious hollow-shaft design of the central differential. It represented a quantum leap in the repositioning of the Audi brand. With this particular model, the statement “Vorsprung durch Technik” was taken literally.

  • Never before has simplicity been so elegantly interpreted The design of the Audi Sportback concept is characterized by an almost monolithic clarity and a vast reduction of the number of lines. The roof, shoulder, and dynamic lines appear to have been drawn with a single stroke. The window strip of the coupe, with its four frameless doors, was kept pronouncedly flat. Viewed from the side, the softly contoured wheel wells over the 10-spoke, 21-inch wheels reinforce the impression of the precisely defined surfaces of the body.
